Pros
It's compact and works fantastic! This is the second one i have bought. The * shape is a natural fit and easy to use even with my arthritis.
The bags are heavy duty and wash well, either by hand or the dishwasher. They are very thick and sturdy and are made to be reusable so i just wash them. The one drawback is that the bags are not cheap!
Waring vacuum sealer is portable and easy to use. Much faster than countertop sealers. Can also be used to seal canning jars.
For the *, this can be determined by looking at the charger. The 9 volt battery is also marked with + and - signs. I have never had one problem with it, it is small enough that i just keep in its charger on the counter ready to go.
Cons
This device lasted less than a year, then stopped charging. It turns out that nickel cadmium rechargeable batteries which are inside the unit, will sometimes form crystals inside, which acts to short out the battery.
