Two step process seems well thought out. This prevents the cork from breaking. Needs a bit of oiling to loosen it up slightly at first. Co-worker has the ebony with stainless end his is a bit heavier, i feel.

It's like using an oversized sledge hammer to drive a nail. The prongs are too short and the distance from the prongs to the center of gravity is too far off. The double hinge is hard to use and requires 2 hands.

The serrated foil cutter is impossible to get a clean cut with. It is spring loaded so you have to be very careful to open it all the way or risk cutting yourself when it snaps shuts. It’s soooo stiff that you need your nail to open it.
