Positing of the camera is important for the night vision to work correctly if it is too low it seems the ir light reflects off peoples faces and back into the lens imagine shining a light into a mirror and back into your eyes

Not sure if technology and improved to eliminate this with other cameras but mine are located about 10ft off the ground and are fine
