Pros & Cons
Pros
The music chip they include is really good sounding, and the controls to access all the features of the chip are easy to use. It also has recording capability. The firmware seems to include all the tunes and functionality from the sdk for the ic.
The instructions are okay, and you can email the manufacturer to get a larger pdf set of instructions, music for a couple songs, and a larger schematic diagram.

This kit is for intermediate builders. The other components, and the soldering, are all easy enough for a beginner like me to handle. Easy to assemble.
