While the measurement listed for this is 80 inches by 60 inches which is the dimensions of a queen size mattress it does not cover the complete laying surface of the bed if you have the two fringe sides placed along the long sides of the bed

If you rotate the throw where the two fringe sides are at the top and bottom and stretch it out a bit it barely covers the top of the mattress

I did not detect much of a chemical odor as some other reviewers mentioned though they did say washing it right away got rid of it

If you have dogs and they can get a bit jumpyexcited expect that they may damage it
