Pros & Cons
Pros
The finish scratches easy but i don’t care about that the sight itself kinda * the glass is almost mirror like inside. It is assured and doesn't feel cheap at all. The only complaint that i have had is sometimes for the sight to reflect on the glass t... Read More
I'm not a marksman by any means, but i wanted something to give me a little more help when i take my mossberg ati scorpion to the sporting clay range. This sight is very cool, plenty of brightness and reticle settings. The reticle is not as crisp as i... Read More
Installation is easy, just loosen two allen nuts on the left and slide over your rail before tightening. Tighten that. There is an alternate version if you look closely that has a hot shoe adapter that mounts under the gun rail.
Great for bird watcher and nature photographer. Allows you to take your eye off the viewfinder and look at the whole scenery. Great for raptors on a clear sky with auto focus.
The attachment is solid and easy to install and use. It's a great lightweight sight for the money. Having a ring around the dot makes pickup and acquisition really easy.
Cons
The sight’s battery cover is loose and when it is on, the reticle does not display. It is east to zero and it worked well when it worked. Lasted less than a single magazine. I wouldn't trust this on anything that offers peace through kinetic energy.

So i had low expectations for a 40 red dot to help with astrophotography on my dslr camera

When first mounted the red dot was off by about half a frame to the right

I didnt need to make any vertical adjustment
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The actual dot adjusts low enough that in night conditions it doesnt swamp the target you are trying to photograph

I find the option of a small dot to be best for astrophotography sighting

It does not have auto onoff so you need to be mindful when done

The sight itself is good and well built but as a number of other reviews have noted the adjustment controls for tuning the sight position are actually reversed from the labels shown on the sight so keep that in mind

To work around this simply push the sight as far as it will go to one side of the camera hotshoe mount and tighten it
