 I have often seen metal detectors looking for buried treasure on the beach at th end of a warm summers day and thought it looked fun. I saw this reasonably-priced detector and thought I would give it a try.Living near the beach is nice but not so interesting in the Autumn and Winter so this will help get me out of the house and start walking at the weekends. The unit is simple to connect and comes with a set of decent quality headphones so that you can hear warning beeps without annoying other people. There are a multitude of settings to help eliminate the sounds made by cheap metals like iron and steel. We didn't find anything on our first outing, but we will definitely be trying again soon.
