Pros

The smell is not over-powering at all. The lid keeps any smells from escaping. The charcoal filters for odor control are genius.

This is a replacement compost bin for us since our husband dropped and broke the lid on our ceramic bin. Carrying it out to my composter is easy, as well as dumping it in. Perfect size for collecting things to put in compost.

Bigger than i had pictured. It's pretty (i love teal things) so i like seeing it on my counter. For now i have it on top of our grill, in the porch.

Cons

Much of the enamel has flaked off both the lid and the canister, inside and out. Even the lid was dented. Fruit flies abound.
