Pros

This is the second kit i purchase from vilros. The switch is a nice addition as it didn't originally come with one in earlier revisions. I already own a replacement pack of pi fans but found them not necessary as the included fan is of similar high qu... Read More

The metal case acts as a passive heatsink in addition to the active cooling provided by the fan. The fan is definitely needed for cooling and gives adequate ventilation. The case has adequate slots for gpio interface.

Cons

Hdmi dongle plug is loose and wobbles enough it causes the display to flicker on and off. Didn't come with a micro sd card or card reader and the micro hdmi to hdmi cord was just a few inches long.

There are two settings for the fan, pin 1 is quieter but it overheats badly and causes the display to go blank. This is a huge issue so i was forced to use pin 2 for the fan which as you can hear is very noisy.

Buyer beware of the letter b. Maybe the seller doesn't know about this, he does now. He tells me it's under warranty.

This does take some technical skills to accomplish and was my 1st raspberry pi project and am satisficed with the results

Very happy with the pi 4 much more stable and therefor much more useful than the pi 3

Mine did not come with the zipper case

Note the fan is made to work with 5v but with the provided fans two leads youre kind of forced to use the pis 3

Price is high as all electronics because of supply issues

Overall price is on par with much cheaper plastic kits
