As a test chuck up a piece of 316 stainless and jam a 12 inch import bit into it hard

The import bit might cut it for a while but it will fail and it will work harden the hole

Now the next import bit you put into that hole will not budge and will likely burn up in a few seconds

You can feed ultrabor bits into mild steel at alarmingly fast rates

Use some cutting fluid proper speed and dont try to drill the hole in one pass

The only reason i touched it up on the grinder is that i did not want to burn it up and i had noticed it was not cutting quite as good as it was in the beginning
