The only unexpected aspect was the angle of the handle it sticks up and is not parallel to the surface of the stove

I currently have a cuisinart 10 inch skillet which is also a 3 ply 1810 stainless steel made in china item

For the budget buyer the cuisinart one is fine but a pan like this should last a long time so if it means paying slightly more to make cooking even a bit more enjoyable i would choose the viking one
