Although a piece on the lens broke and caused it to wiggle, rather than the hassle of sending it back or replacing it i just used a piece of tape to hold the lens in place.

The goggles are funner to use with vr videos on youtube, than the phone apps i found.

The next best thing would be gear vr from samsung for $200 which would require me to buy another $800 phone on top of that.

He said that the resolution on this headset with my samsung galaxy s5 is significantly better than the oculus rift.

Further the oculus rift basically requires you to use a computer to connect to it.

In many ways this type of headset is superior to basically anything else i have seen on the market b/c it is based on the google cardboard design which unlike the gear vr and oculus are not proprietary.

The magnet is designed to work in conjunction with google cardboard compatible aps so that you can make selections or take actions in these programs.
