I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it works. The printed instructions are easy to follow. It is super easy to do and very economical.
In four days, was ready to harvest. A few tablespoons of seeds yield 2 to 3 containers of sprouts. Put the sprouts into some bleach water for 15 minutes to sanitize them.
This is so much better than regular lettuce, probably even a lot better than even romaine or the other boutique lettuces. With good seeds i get 100% germination.
The trays are lightweight, fit together perfectly, and come with two one ounce packets of seeds. Filling from the top, the water collects in each tray allowing it to completely cover each row before draining to the next level.
Cons
In one tray, one teaspoonful of radish and broccoli. Water collects in the trays and causes the seeds to mold.

I find first soaking the seeds over night in a small container with a cup of water much better
