Pros & Cons
Pros
Russian sage gets a little too wet but i just squeeze them drier. They are moist and hold the moisture just right.
Each plug refills two aerogarden baskets. When using these in a normal size seedling insert tray, some of them fill the insert perfectly to the edge.
Viagrow are a game changer. They are easy to pop out without falling apart and replant.
Cons
The inside of the packaging is wet. The germination rate on the ones i planted (with a grow mat in a sunny window) 3 weeks ago is only about 65%. The other 50% gets moldy and is a real pain.
Highlights
Quality
The product in conjunction with cloning gelhormone worked great
Much better value and same quality as rapid rooter plugs
In the meantime i was using the ihort q plug but found they dont hold much nutrients
Fertilizer i sprang for the aerogarden liquid plant food 1 litre
Price
These are as good as the brand i was using that was twice the price
Shipping
They hold water well they are fast and easy and make little mess
One last notethe bag inside the box had split a little due to shipping
Packaging/appearance
I use them as plug refills in the aerogarden system
I am using plastic egg cartons and the fit perfectly
The only issue i have with these is that in the pack i received the sizes are inconsistent
Competitiveness
Works well and a lot better than paying aerogarden prices
I put 4 or 5 clones in a ziplocked bag and leave it open in my cloning tub
They have to be from the same manufacturer
They are a bit big for aerogarden plastic baskets
