Pros

It is the best clamp i have ever owned and would recommend purchasing it. An excellent alternative to the higher price models costing hundreds more. Great value for a hobbyist and beginner jewelry maker.

There is a rubber support ring that the ball vise sits in, which is dry, not lubricated, to keep it from rotating. Reassembly with the bearing and the vise will spin 8 revolutions with one flick of the hand.

One flaw is with the attachment set - not as well-made as the ball vise itself. Tighten it up, and it stays put. Also seems they have fixed the issue with mis drilled holes.

I did this with the 220 and then 320 washed off both halves with solvent wd40 and blew it all off with compressed air and wiped it down

Competitiveness

Cheaper than the competition you dont need to spend the extra hundreds on other brands

With a little sweat equity i think this will be a very nice vise at a fraction of the cost of the big name competition

I do not own any of the high end brand vises but i have little doubt this vice is not as precisely made as its expensive competition

I would rate this as a very good value comparable to the units costing 400 500
