Pros
It’s not as simple as advertised but still well worth the time, effort and extras. Easy to install then set it and forget it. It seems very well built.
It’s quiet and the thermostat works well. The fan certainly pushes a lot of air. There is a connecting metal washer set up that is placed in thethermostat box.
Cons
On the original listing it states that it has a limited lifetime warranty on all parts. I recommend buying a better brand like quiet cool because it comes with a 15 year warranty. Total waist of money and warranty is a joke.
Touching the setting dial lightly with a screwdriver will turn the fan off until the next day. Thermostat cover is shoddy and body of frame appears to be cheap sheet metal.
After perfect operation for 4 years (to the month), started squealing. Started making a rattle noise by the 2nd summer. Soooo much louder than even our 16 year old ones!
It's not fun to install. Kicked it on to test it during installation then left it for summer. To receive authorization to send the unit back -- oh.

I used padding under the support brackets so my noise level is very low

I will note to others that the shroud has sharp edges and the brackets holding the motor to the shroud has sharp edges too

The metal edges were not rounded or smoothed over so when handling the fan motor and shroud to watch the edges so not to cut sharp cuts
