It works on superficial veins only you will still need to use ultrasound for moderate to deep vein identification

If i had not had the venoscope ii i would not have seen this vein as clearly and would have had to try a blind stick

The venoscope allowed me to see the shape of veins that i might would have tried but would not have accommodated the needlecatheter because they were not straight
