Highlights
Quality
The materials are plastic but the build quality is way better than the cowboystudio set.
The price seems quite reasonable and i am very happy with the purchase specially if all goes well in my upcoming shoot.
10/10 was worth the money for the lols.
Well, i found a long term solution with the purchase of these vello freewave wireless units.
Price
The price was kind of in between the cheaper cowboystudio and the pocketwizards and i think they perform better than expected.
Works exactly as expected for a really good price.
Competitiveness
Using it on my canon 6d with a yongnuo flash and works great.
I also picked up a second receiver which allows me to use the vello freewave wireless flash trigger with both of my sunpak 555 flashes.
Each sunpak 555 flash has the standard non-dedicated sunpak std-1d flash module.
The transmitter mounts on my canon 30d via its hot shoe.

I frantically researched inexpensive replacements, reasoning that if i could get through the upcoming shoot i would be able to find a better long term solution.

After all, for a photographer, equipment reliability is your reputation.

Keep in mind: he and his stuff were on the other side of a thick, tornado-proof brick and metal wall (no windows), so cellphone reception is naturally non-existent in and around this building.
