Definitely served its purpose but i would not recommend relying on it for heavy use and i would also advise that you do not buy it if your shoe is bigger than the size recommended of the crampon

The largest size fit my us size 13 heavily insulated boots tightly but they fit fully not just barely clinging to the edges of my boots
