It is expected that the ground wire from the schuko plug the shell mounted outlet and the transformers metallic components would be connected

The failure to ground these components properly is caused by the varnish insulation of the transformers cores and the paint coating on the inside of the transformer

In view of the low cost it is obvious that their low cost secret is sloppy assembly

Once this change was made it appears that the transformer will be safer and provide reliable service
