Theyre very light which i need yet sturdy waterproof and extra tall to help with the footdrop
I also recommend coughing up the extra money for the goretex version if you want your feet to stay cool

This is by far the best price i can find on these as they are not cheap
0 looks like itll be great too but price jumps up about 30
Packaging/appearance
Comfortable right out of the box light weight waterproof sturdy enough to backpack in its perfect
I was able to remove the sand and glue it with goop
The first day out of the box i hiked 10 miles and no sores or hot spots
Competitiveness
Works great with smartwool socks without size issues
This boot is very comfortable and a great fit with my thorlo socks
Much more slippery than one would think they would be for such an otherwise wellmade shoe
Have put in 2025 miles with 45lbs pack so far in training on both road and trail

They are extremely hard to find in narrow widths and that is sad as i cant wear anything else hardly at all

I wore the merril moab for years and loved them but after 36 months the shoe sole would break down over rough trails

It is dissapointing that most hiking boot manufacturers dont make their footwear in wide widths
