Pros & Cons
Pros
The top two are more open so the lace has room to slide and adjust. The fit & ankles are on the snug side. The ankle support is second to none.
They are gore-tex lined, so they keep your feet dry when crossing a stream, etc. They were worn most of the year when outside in the northwest. My feet never got soaked.
These boots are terrific in every way but size. They are long enough, but i wish they were wider. Wider, more comfortable toe box and the sole is stiffer yet completely comfortable.
The trails here are a mix of flat and wide, steep and stony, and rocks. That way i know it is not coming undone no matter how rough a hike i take. They are sturdy enough to handle rocky terrain.
Cons
Stiffest boots i have ever tried to break in. Stiff like cardboard. Color is listed as brown olive. Actual shoe is more olive brown in the sun.
To hopefully get amazon's attention to the defective lacing. Terribly made, shoddy construction. Hopefully they take the feedback and act on it foe the next version.
