This puppy will crank at full speed. Also loud, but adjustable. It's loud (even on the lowest speed).
Cons
Vantec ax1200i is too loud at the lowest setting. Doesn't slot into a pcie slot well. The fans are noisy and the connector seems cheap and flimsey.

While i dont own this i can tell you that using your pcie port as a stabilizer would damage the pins on the port
