Out of box very well made put my vortex 18x56 kaibab and held it great would recommend to hunters. It is about the same weight and quality which is surprising given the very reasonable price.

When i first got this product i went to adjust the top part that extends higher and a nut fell out

The bolt does not go in a hole that has grooves in it but a nut goes in the back and it screws in that but if you unscrew it too far the nut falls out

Though it is going to be used with a compact ultrazoom point and shoot my old 35 mm slr with a 400 mm telephoto was very solid when i tried it
