Pros & Cons
Pros
Easy to change from standard student mouthpiece (yamaha 4c) to v16. Intonation and timbre are both superb. Good mouthpiece for intermediate sax player and higher level.
There are dozens of different variants that supposed to make the sound darker or smoother or jazzier. This is the sound i was looking for, not too bright, just about right. This mouthpiece also allows me to get that bite that brightens up my sounds.
Highlights
Quality
But fast forward to now i’ve practiced a lot with it and the sound quality is very nice
For me this piece with rico royal reeds have helped me find a tone im really happy with
I got a crappy 250 sax off ebay and this mouthpiece turned it into a 1500 sounding sax coupled with the vandoren reeds
If youre a jazz player looking for your first pro mouthpiece and youre not sure where to start give the vandoren v16 a couple of weeks
Competitiveness
Its structure on the end fitting over the crook is heavy enough it should outlast some of its competitors which are thinner in this area
In this case with this mouthpiece a vandoren 3 works well for me

As a professional musician it would be ridiculous for me to write a comprehensive review of this mouthpiece since it is such a personal thing unique to each person who plays it
