Pros & Cons

Pros

Very nice brownish red color just like the leaves. It's a very mild black tea but with all the darjeeling flavor which gives it a potency it otherwise would lack. It is meant to have a delicate rose taste and aroma.

Vahdam bagged tea sampler. Each sample is in its own little tin, which can also be reused.

Whether a tea is first flush or second flush depends on when it was harvested. This 2nd flush has a lot of similarities to muscatel, they even look similar although this one is slightly more brown than red despite the picture on the package being supe...  Read More

Cons

Honestly disappointed. But in this price range, it competes with some high-quality chinese teas, and it loses this competition handily.

The smell is surprisingly unpleasant. The tea is very dry (doesn't steep well) - takes two bags in a pint mug when one has always been fine with other mugs. I really like the loose leaf tea of this brand, but these tea bags are not the best.

Quality

Yes the leaves are choppedbroken up the oxidization is all over the place they call oolong tea black tea

Price

Great price for the tea and great company practices

You can’t go wrong if you like tea as you get a variety and the price is outstanding

I didnt get a discount or anything im just a regular person who is nurturing a growing love for tea

Of course if youre not rich and cant afford designer tea or you just want an experience this is perfect for you

Packaging/appearance

The tea was very fresh and the recipients were excited about the beautiful packaging

Very nice packaging and she said the teas were very favorable

Was expecting a large box of assorted teas in different slots but theyre all just thrown in a small box

Ive ordered the english breakfast tea before and also have gotten sampler packs as gifts

Competitiveness

Compared to what i got there is definitely a difference

Theoretically they get more money into the hands of the small producers and hopefully that carries over to the poor peasants who work there

Its almost brothy for me but compared to the others its more of a middle of the road brothy

This is based on a comparison of the daily darjeeling 2nd flush where the leaves are all dark redbrownish red
