These tell you not only that the items youve plugged in are protected but also whether or not the electrical outlet youve plugged it into is grounded

That it could accomplish the same effect with a slightly smaller bulb andor less power to said bulb does mean there is room for optimization though

I ended up modifying the circuit board inside by adding two resistors to the led circuits

The sides are curved and wouldnt work well if you want to line it up with a wall or shelf

However because the surface involved is vertical and this item has two only holes along one side in back it cannot be held snugly against the surface

Adjusting the mounting screws helps of course but to be close enough for snugness then you cant slide the item into place

It needs one of two corrections 1 put four holes in back for better stability or perhaps two centered or 2 explain this shortcoming so prospective buyers can know about it beforehand
