Pros
This heating pad has a nice long cord and heats up fairly quickly. It heats up well and with its soft exterior it's cozy. The controller is easy to use but feels a bit lightweight and cheap.
The weighting of this allows him to contour it to his body to put it exactly where his pain is. The addition of weighted beads to this heating pad really improves it vs.
Has dial that has heat settings and a timer. Timer is a good feature.
It works very well if you need to drape it over a body part. It's a bit pricey, but it feels like it's a good quality product. The heat delivered is great and very comforting to use.
We have the larger utk heating pad with the jade and tourmaline discs also and it is an exceptional product. This heating pad is super soft, comfortable and very simple to use.
Cons
Control unit lights gently illuminate, but the display leds are subdued red so as not to detract from going to sleep. At approximately $40 usd (at time of review), i find this product to be long on price, but much shorter on important features.

There is what feels like sand or small chipped gravel woven inside the layers to give it heft

I a little disappointed that the settings dont get very hot on the lower end i have to use it at top setting to really feel it working

I guess its ok but i dont want to have it go out on me on the top setting or it wont be hot enough at a lower setting for me or the dog small dog does prefer to sleep on it on our colder winter nights
