Do not make the mistake of permanently mounting this to your firearm barrel harmonics are easily thrown off in long range shooting scenarios by anything clamped on to the midsection of your barrel

But as stated in the other reviews the rubber pad will not hold the barrel from twisting on its own axis

It works but i had to clamp it to the barrel because the gas tube spacing didnt leave enough room for the clamping mechanism to fit inbetween my m1a nm
