Cons
Better' and more reliable alarms are those which are interconnected. After only a few months, the detector makes short beep noise. They begin constantly going off and cannot be reset.
It not only costs me a ton of money (which i don't have--i make $700. Please save your money and sanity. Looking at other reviews here and elsewhere, seems to be a very common complaint.
Manufacture date on mine shows 2015 feb 02. Unit with 7 year shelf life arrive 13 months old, then found to be malfunctioning. Delivery time is also nearly a month from a now current order date.

Those were installed with the original build of my home about 10 years ago so time to replace
If a weak battery in one unit causes all the units to beep pressing the test button causes only the unit with the weak battery to beep
Im not real happy with my attempts to return the defective unit but am happy with the quality of the units that i have installed

4in1 feature and price is what sold me
Competitiveness
These are so much nicer than the previous 3in1 versions from the same manufacturer
At the higher end of the price scale i would expect better life and initial performance

Comparative products having dual smoke sensor capability ionization and photoelectric are there at this price point but you will never get co bundled in it too and that too with battery backup option
