I did make the mistake of leaving water in it and forgetting about it while i went away on a trip and i ended up with a little rust in the bottom but this was my own mistake and not the manufacturers

Needless to say thats not what i was looking for so i went with the better known name and a kettle that seemed to have nothing but positive reviews

What i got was a unit that was much larger than id realized was clumsy to open and impossible to control

Even only half filled it was near boiling over at the lowest setting

Ok so i started the return process and went back to looking for the right kettle

Its just the right size boils very quickly and cuts off as soon as it hits a hard roll then maintains temperature until you flip the switch
