This adapter plugs in and works exactly as intended. We use it as an addendum to desktop motherboards that don't come with wifi. It suits my needs but perhaps is an overkill.
The ax1800 is small and portable. Some tech is easy to use, and some tech requires a learning curve. Overall, functionally it is solid so it gets a thumbs up from me.

Without making any great effort to shut down all other internet use in my home i got an ookla speed test reading of 296 mbps down and 11 to 12 mbps up on my spectrum 30010 service

The printed instruction booklet states that other network drivers present on the computer should be uninstalled
