I got it because i travel and would like to be able to connect my phone to to the hotel tvs and still be able to get work done without having to carry around an additional laptop

Usb ports work quite slow compared to ports on computer so they are not usable except for a camera or light weight peripheral like a mouse or keyboard

Like that it has a usbc port so it essentially adds hdmi and 2 usbs without giving up the usbc
