Pros
The foam is soft, but the bat appears to have a *, so it holds its shape, and wouldn't deform with a lot of use. It's a great stress reliever tool. We got this thing quicker than prime items we ordered at the same time.
Just right for my 5 year old granddaughter. My 4 yr old nephew puts down the electronic games and goes outside to play with this!
It is also a great toy that i bring home for my grandchildren to play with using a nerf ball. It will still perform to foam bat expectations while being a little softer with more give should it get swung a little too close to another child.
Good size for adults and tweens alike. It isn't super skinny and it has some weight to it.
Cons
He has to choke up so much that the * end of the bat hits him in the chest. As other reviewers noted, foam begins to deteriorate quickly.

The bat itself came well packaged but upon opening the bag i see that the bottom end of the bat is missing the end cap

Not sure how much this will affect the longevity of the bat since the kids using it still not hit too hard but i will try to find something to cover the end to make sure no dirt and grass get in there throughout the use

The core appears corrugated which may help give it a little more give and hopefully allow it to last longer though it does still appear to be a pretty cheap plastic like all the others which may cause it to be somewhat brittle
