Black padding is very good at not scratching my mac. Saves space on the desk, but showcases the laptop nicely.
Cons
There is one fundamental flaw with this product. It's well built, but if you have a macbook 12 stay away from this guy unless you want consistent drop outs on bluetooth/wifi.
