If you have to be outside for a long time skiing skating xskiiing tobogganing often then i think these are well worth the price

The pairs we tested both had similar performances and 3 heating settings high medium low

They may be fine for riding snowmobiles or snow blowing etc but to actually wear them when playing in the snow is not a great idea

One thing to note is that on my pair if i set it to maximum heat it would drop after a while automatically to the two bar setting

All it takes to bring it back up to maximum heat is to cycle the switch back up

The battery compartment is on the inside of the cuffs and sealed in by a velcro like system

The first pair of heated gloves i got only had heating elements on the backs of the hands and fingers and not on the front grip part of the fingers
