Pros

It's not a boring book and the story is flowing along nicely. I love how honest and relatable adam kay is in this book. The thing that impresses me most about adam kay's books is the honesty with which he writes.

As an ex employee of the nhs myself, i recognise the comic infrastructure built to stop one running screaming for the hills. I hope it helps him to heal as much as it entertains his readers. My dad was a consultant so this is painfully spot on but eye...  Read More

My main gripe with this latest book is simple - it isn't funny. Really enjoyed the first; was expecting good things. Poorly written, was also such a boring read.

    The other issue i have with the book is that i am reflecting back on his other books and i am wondering if i would have interpreted them in the same way had i read this book first with some of the issues he reveals in this book

    The only issue i did not like is that i feel that he lectures a bit in places and perhaps it is not the nicest depiction of politicians

    A few surprises in this book some of which is told in flashback but what is and isnt flashback is clearly delineated

    But i removed one star because honestly this ‘signing’ was clearly done by some pimply book stacker in the back of waterstones
