Paul pen has an amazing ability to draw you in & then the real fun begins. The translator, simon bruni, deserves immense credit for bringing the events to life so beautifully in english.

Throughout this novel there is an undercurrent flowing that further draws you into the lives of grace and frank. Frank is the handsome husband married to the beautiful and gracious grace. Great tale of love and redemption and forgiveness.

The characters are not believable nor likable. Grace is the only relatable character. Too many women's lib and lgb soapboxes too. The characters feel like caricatures rather than real people.
