The sound is amazingly clean and crisp. A large part of music listening, which is what i use these for, is about the recording, imo. This model is well worth the price. This is the best headphone in the world.

To me it is somewhere in between closed like a beyerdynamic dt 770 or vmoda anymodel and open like the k701 or sennheiser hd 599
