Mike mahoney uses mahoney's to refinish ikea gerton tabletops. Even used it on utensil handles (old wooded knives, wooden handled stir sticks, etc.
Cons
Tung oil is probably a better choice. Spent 6 days applying oil to cutting boards, and waiting to dry before waxing. Disappointing, considering the high cost.

I have used this oil on a couple of spoons so far and am very pleased with the outcome

Nice finish but i havent gotten anything close to a satin sheen on the dozen or so boards i have finished with this product

Unfinished maple wood soaked up a lot of oil

The first coat of the 7 foot by 26 inches counter soaked up one cup of oil

I kept reapplying it where the wood looked dry for a couple of hours it took took two hours before the wood kept a sheen

After that i wiped off all the excess oil and waited for it to polymerize
