They're firm but cushioned so it's not like you're sleeping of the floor. I believe we got precisely the right firmness. They tend to be soft so i prefer the firmer styles.

This mattress is too soft regardless of the firmness number you choose. The latex layer offers little support and the base foam isn't much thicker. We think that we should of gone firmer and the bed would of started out great and not just good.
