Two weeks into use, this power adapter appears to be functioning without any issue. I read up some more and found that others that had had that problem had tried changing the power cable and that you could upgrade from a 2 amp to a 3 amp.
Cord length is great, plug fit snuggly into connector without issue. It has a sideways plug to avoid taking up more space than is needed. Purchased this for an aquarium light. The daylight leds are a big improvement over the halagen bulbs.
This fits a tad loosely into the back of the tivo. Our tivo dvr gets used a lot. Also the plug end fits well in the tivo with no slop.

Options were new unit at 400 or after internet searchnew power supply for less than 20
Very inexpensive and my charge light was green in less than an hour
I think this is a good power supply for the money
The price of a power supply adapter was much less than a new hard drive

Arrived quickly and even came with an extra adapter to connect wires to the barrel jack
It was delivered and i plugged it in with my fingers crossed

From some posts thought it was the hard drive failing at first but ended up being the 2amp power supply started dieing and not putting out enough voltsamps

I unplugged it and plugged it back in and all 4 of the round colored panel lights were blinking well that was new
