Pros

The software is a few years old, but for the price it can't be beat. The web gui is simple but effective and the same goes for the mobile app ( ios ) the software can be used standalone or with an sql back end.

Nstar system is set up with hid readers. They have mov lightning protection on all i/o. You find your controller, edit users and privileges and then upload that configuration to the controller.

Works flawlessly. The controller is a good deign. Another thumbs up for them is the response.

Fire/alarm module allows you to trigger other events on door opening, such as disarming an alarm. More than just a fire safety bypass, it allows a output for a whole list of conditions.

Cons

This product is terrible. The instructions are pretty much useless. Extremely disappointing. After 3 days of trying to install it, it still isn't working.

I naturally assumed there was some way of doing this with the system
