I had bought the apple thunderbolt to hdmi cable at four times this price to find it would only display at 1920 x1200

It turns out thats the limitation with apples implementation of hdmi

It worked first time and displays at my monitors best native resolution of 2550 x 1440

I needed it to replaced one from another supplier which was loose and constantly causing display issues

After some investigation the problem was that the monitor defaults to display port 1
