    Be sure to buy a bidirectional cable so the signal can pass either direction no matter how you use the cable to connect hdmi to dvi cable or dvi from your video card to an hdmi input on your monitor

    I had bought it for a nvidia gt710 card which did not come with the required dvi to vga converter or driver that were advertised on that purchase so imagine my surprise when it not only transmitted crisp clear video but the sound from the hd as well
