Pros & Cons
Pros
Just insert product and tighten set screw. Only thing you'll need is a good pair of wire cutters or anything that'll give that plastic that has to be removed a bad day. Use a tubing cutter to score your line, then a side cutter to * away the plastic.
Cons
The seller is very slow and does not offer returns. The product is a waste of time and money, get something that might work. Its all junk. Would not work on my 2004 honda civic. Not very well built.
The handle cannot be tightened onto the hood release cable with enough torque to pull hood open. If you continue tightening it will strip the hex nut. The threads on the product are so thin that i easily overclock and stripped the product beyond use.

Worst part was getting the broken one off to get the new one on

Had to make the hole bigger to fit the cable

Followed other reviewers advice by using a dremel tool trimming back the civic’s plastic hood release cable housing to expose greater length of the metal cable end which to attach the new handle

The handle fit perfectly without the set screw but the set screw threads are set too deep and the cable end wouldn’t allow the threads to engage

Again with the dremel ground a flat spot on the cable end to allow the set screw to drop deep enough to engage the threads

I broke the handle off of my hood release a couple months ago

That being said i came across this product and others like it by accident
