It's short and has a nice right angle usb male connection. Only caveat is that the samsung adapter that originally came with my phone has the usb coming off the side.

When i plug it into the usb port on the righthand side it runs up the side of the computer toward the screen

If you were plugging it into a usb that was facing your body it would run to the right and likewise if you were plugging into a usb that was away from you say on the back of a monitor it would run to the left
