Pros
It gets more use than any of that pocket junk.
Both the ferrorod and striker work surprisingly well. It places ahead of my flint and steel, and definitely ahead of drilling or plowing. The striker is sharp and scrapes well.
I personally like my necklaces to be a bit tighter on the neck. Works great comfortable to wear.
Quick deployment/ usage. Super convenient having a firestarter on me at all times when backpacking. I'm ocd when it comes to being able to make fire.
Cons
Rod is too small to get a good grip and not cut yourself. Striker rod is small and does not create much of a spark. Worthless, got 1 spark out of probably 200 strikes.
Disposable lighter is a much better deal. Difficult to use and absolutely ineffective. Couldn't get dry grass soaked in lighter fluid to catch.

Ill use the scraper with my large ferro rod but wont use the one on the lanyard unless its an emergency

I took both off of the cord and replaced it with a black paracord sleeve with some of the red tinder string from the ust tinder cord running through the inside

Now what i will say is that you can make it cheaper if you just buy the toggles and grind a washer

Im a fairly skilled camperwoodsman and use ferro rods routinely but this one is so small that it takes significant practice to crack the code on producing sparks that will start a fire
