The cut is angled enough so it doesn’t doesn’t look like a prodominate stud or spike but rather a nice gem it fits nicely on my ear it’s not to far extended nor choke my ear and the rounded off back screws on to keep a comfortable rounded surface for the back of your ear which after getting these makes me believe all earrings should have this

But one thing to consider is that you may not want them to be the first ones you change into after the starter earrings because the post is quite a bit thicker and made my ear bleed
