Took them out of the box and set them out for about an hour in overcast weather in the evening. They illuminate our back and front decks perfectly. They look beautiful and they are just the right amount of brightness.

We used caulk, not screws to install; my posts are 5x5. They come with different size mounting hardware so you can get the perfect fit. Comes with several adapters for different size posts.

One is bright, one is very very dim. Not bright at all. Not very bright unless placed at eye level due to an overwhelming use of solid black plastic.

The lights work, but barely give off enough light to even be classified as outdoor lights. The bottom hangs over the post significantly blocking the light from getting to the deck.

If you have 5x5 posts these are for you but if you have 4x4's do not bother. A one size fits all approach is not the way to go if the post is a smaller diameter.
